Ch. Stage Door’s Alice Blue Gown,“Alice”, is owned by CathyAnn Litwin.  “Alice” was bred by Barbara Penny and John Casevecchia under the Stage Door Kennel Name.  I was fortunate to welcome her home to Rockback in December 2005.

“Alice” started her show career at the tender age of 6 ½ months at American Spaniel Club Show, January 2006.  Right from the beginning she made us all very proud by taking a placement in a very large 6-9 month Sweepstakes Class under breeder Judge, Barbara Heckerman. 

The next time “Alice” danced into the ring was the Regional English Cocker Spaniel Specialty, Greenville South Carolina, February 2006.   This time she placed in a very large 9-12 puppy class.

In April 2006, at Wilmington Kennel Club Show, “Alice” went Winners Bitch under breeder judge Bonnie Threlfall.

June 17, 2006, Delaware Valley Regional Supported Entry found “Alice” in the ribbons yet again.  This time under breeder judge Mary Ann Alston.

Throughout the rest of 2006, in very limited showing, “Alice” picked up some more points.  She also won Best of Breed in Roanoke, Virginia under judge Keke Kahn.

“Alice” was looking good and so we set our sights on American Spaniel Club 2007.  Under renowned Judge Michael Faulkner the ultimate win came our way...Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex!!!!!  These wins will forever be cherished.

During 2007 and most of 2008 “Alice” picked up several more points.  December 2008, “Alice” set out for the Boston Kennel Club Shows. Under the skilled hand of Carol Collins, “Alice” became a Champion on December 6, 2008, under Canadian Judge, Sandra Lex.

Alice contnues to be my constant companion including going to the office with me everyday.  I am very thankful to have been given the opportunity to own this very special girl!

Since we don't stand still...our  next venture is working to attain the new Grand Champion title.   Alice and I competed at the VA Mattaponi Show, May 2010, and received the first of three needed major wins.  Also part of the criteria is defeating other champions...we did that too giving us a total of six points in two days!!
